Squorbit – “Speciman” & “Silly”
Emerging artist and DJ Squorbit is a new arrival on the EDM/electronic music scene, with 2021 marking the release of his first recordings. Working entirely from scratch with real instruments and exclusively self-recorded samples, Squorbit started out creating tracks on a computer before gravitating to synths and drum machine hardware for a fuller, more distinct sound.
Squorbit’s approach to EDM/electronic music is inspired by genre favorites like Daft Punk, Deadmau5, and Skrillex, plus other artists like Korn, Digitalism, and Drummatic Twins. Drawing inspiration from a range of eras and genres of music, from metal to rap, Squorbit’s tracks are always varied, exciting, and unpredictable.
Set to be released this summer, Squorbit’s newest album is in the works right now and features a set of tracks defined by a funky sound and dance grooves imported fresh from the future. Bringing a romantic energy inspired by classic tracks of the past, the album will combine the sounds of multiple eras for an electronic journey unlike any other.
Looking to the future, Squorbit has some live events and performance videos in the works for 2024 as well, which will be available on his YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. Squorbit’s debut album is now available to stream and purchase, and fans can keep up with his new releases on Instagram, and Reverbnation. Squorbit is on EDM//ECHO radio rotation with the tracks “Speciman” and “Silly”.
