What truly distinguishes Lamberto’s catalog, however, is his rare gift for remix work that honors a song’s DNA while giving it an entirely new heartbeat. His extended rework of Liberian Girl took Michael Jackson’s original elegance and stretched it across a dancefloor canvas without losing an ounce of its sophistication. His DJ Lamberto Dance Mix of New York City Boy by the Pet Shop Boys became a defining club anthem, propelling the track to gold and platinum certifications internationally and earning him a nomination for the 1999 Grammy Award in the Best Remixed Recording category.
His treatment of Madonna’s Give It 2 Me took the pop icon’s already electric energy and amplified it into something built for peak-hour club moments. That run of transformative work brought further institutional recognition, including a nomination for the 2002 Ivor Novello Award in the Remixer category and a nomination for the 2012 ARIA Music Award for Best International Remixer Artist in the Dance/Funky Songs field.
