Mexico City, MX – After a four-year hiatus from Vocaloid collaborations, Grammy-voting member, music producer, and recording artist Ricardo Padua makes a highly anticipated return with “Alive,” a cinematic electro-pop track featuring the world’s most iconic virtual singer, Hatsune Miku.

Ethereal yet grounded, “Alive” blends glitch-pop textures, shimmering synth layers, and intimate lyricism to explore themes of identity, creation, and connection in the digital age. It’s a powerful reflection on what it means to feel human—told through a digital voice that has captivated millions.

“Miku lets me write from a place that transcends the physical,” says Padua. “There’s something poetic in giving a soul to code—‘Alive’ is about exactly that: becoming real through love, memory, and music.”

This release marks Padua’s first project with Hatsune Miku since 2021’s “Fierce,” a fan-favorite that became a staple in the Vocaloid-electropop crossover scene. The return has been long awaited by fans who admire his emotionally rich narratives and genre-bending production style.

Padua has also announced that 2025 will bring a wave of new original music, including multiple collaborations with Hatsune Miku. The next single, titled “F2BM (Fun 2 Be Me),” drops on May 7less than a month after the release of “Alive”—and features rising Canadian pop vocalist Ivy Luna. Energetic, empowering, and undeniably catchy, “F2BM” is poised to be a bold, glittering anthem of self-expression. It’s a crazy-fast turnaround that reflects Padua’s unstoppable creative momentum and points to a year packed with bold, original releases.

In addition to his solo work, Padua has been actively writing and producing for emerging artists across genres. He co-wrote and produced “Sabor a Miel,” the latest single by rising Mexican pop artist Faty Crespo, which dropped on March 14th, with her next single expected in May. He also wrote and produced “Arder,” the latest release from international goth rock band Crimson Sky, now available on all major streaming platforms.

Padua is also developing a major theatrical project: a dark, reimagined stage musical adaptation of Sleeping Beauty, titled “Rose.” Set to premiere in Mexico City in early 2027, the show promises a powerful blend of fantasy, feminism, and theatrical storytelling.

A multidisciplinary creator, Padua has collaborated with global brands like Disney, Universal Pictures, and Coca-Cola, and continues to build bridges between art, technology, and emotion.

“Alive” is available now on all major streaming platforms.
